Bring me into the room. I'll bring the room with me.

Technology and culture, community and execution, told by someone who has lived on both sides. Keynotes, panels, hosting, and honest conversations for conferences, companies, campuses, brands and communities.

01Hi, I'm Kaitlin

Five years inside TikTok. A lifetime of bringing people together.

From August 2021 to August 2026 I worked at TikTok in Trust & Safety, which is a formal way of saying I spent five years learning how a platform actually works, what gets content flagged, and why. At the same time I helped lead BLXCK, a 900-plus-member employee community, told employee stories on camera, and co-led a back-to-school drive that grew from a few backpacks to seven cities and three countries.

Outside of that, I've spent more than a decade producing events, running campaigns, and connecting people and organizations who should have met sooner. Nashville is home. I travel.

What I bring to a stage is the mix: I understand the technology, I understand the culture, and I know how to make a room lean in.

02The signature talk

I Used to Be the Digital Police.

What brands and creators need to understand about social media.

That's how I explain what I did at TikTok. For five years I worked behind the scenes where community guidelines get applied and content gets flagged, and I learned something most people posting every day never see: the rules of the platform are not a mystery, they're a system. If you understand the system, you make better decisions.

This talk opens the door. Funny where it can be, plain where it has to be, and useful the moment people leave the room.

  • How community guidelines actually get applied, and why content gets flagged or removed
  • Platform integrity, misinformation and digital safety, in language a marketing team can use
  • What creators and brands should avoid, and what a responsible content strategy looks like
  • How to build trust with an audience when the platform itself is always changing

Drawn from professional experience, 2021–2026. Not a current TikTok role, and no guarantees about how any platform will treat your content.

Five more talks I'm ready to have.

01

Beyond the Job Description

How I turned employee engagement into community impact.
+

Leading a 900-plus-member employee community taught me that the title on the org chart is the least interesting part of the job. This is the story of how an ERG became a cross-functional program, how a few backpacks became a multinational initiative, and what any organization can borrow from it.

For · ERG and DEI programs · HR and people teams · corporate social impact
02

The Executioner Mindset

Moving ideas from concept to reality.
+

People started calling me The Executioner because the ideas I touch tend to happen. This talk is about why most good ideas die in the meeting, the operating habits that get them out the door, and how to build a reputation for follow-through on any team.

For · leadership offsites · entrepreneur and founder audiences · creative teams
03

Community Is Built, Not Claimed

Creating meaningful relationships and collaborative initiatives.
+

Community doesn't come from a Slack channel or a hashtag. It comes from people who feel seen and have something to build together. Lessons from BLXCK, from cross-ERG collaboration, and from Nashville's creative scene on how relationships become initiatives.

For · employee communities · membership organizations · cultural institutions
04

The Human Side of AI

Helping people and businesses understand and adopt AI without losing their identity.
+

I run my businesses with AI systems I built myself, and I've watched what happens when people adopt the tools without thinking about the voice. This is a practical, non-technical conversation about where AI helps, where judgment has to stay human, and how to keep sounding like yourself.

For · small-business and creator audiences · marketing teams · universities
05

From Digital Platforms to Real-World Experiences

Connecting online storytelling with community engagement.
+

The feed is where attention starts; the room is where it becomes something. From Voice the Ballot to Queen's Empire Ball to 615 Week, how I move people from scrolling to showing up, and what brands and organizations can learn about pairing content with experience.

For · event producers · brand and experiential teams · civic and cultural organizations
